CAMMSE Director and Graduate Students attended the first NCDOT Research & Innovation Summit

CAMMSE Director Dr. Wei Fan and six graduate students participated in the first NCDOT Research & Innovation Summit hosted by the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT) on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Greensboro, NC. CAMMSE Center Director Dr. Wei Fan made a presentation entitled “Optimal Variable Speed Limit Control in Connected Autonomous Vehicle Environment for Relieving Freeway Congestion” during the summit. CAMMSE graduate students Mr. Yang Li made a poster presentation entitled “Using General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) Data as a Basis for Evaluating and Improving Public Transit Equity” and Mr. Pengfei Liu made a poster presentation entitled “Exploring the Impact of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles on Freeway Capacity Using Microscopic Traffic Simulation”, both as results of the CAMMSE research projects.
